CLASSES 

Armstrong offers a series of mostly single session classes generally dealing with working with wire.  This page will list those classes by subject matter, date of class, a brief description, and the cost of the class.  In addition, we will list classes and types of instructions offered by third parties that we feel we could recommend for additional training on a variety of subjects

Pre-registration & a deposit of 1/2 the listed fee are required for all Armstrong classes, with the balance due on the first  day of class. Classes require a minimum of 3 students. If you have a group of 3 or more, but find that our schedule does not fit yours, please inquire about special class arrangements.

Introduction to Chain Making with Mary Kernahan

Learn this ancient art form using contemporary tools and techniques. This introductory class will acquaint you with basic tools and materials while teaching you the essentials of construction.  In Session I you will learn to fabricate your own jump rings.  In Session II you will learn four elementary chain patterns that lay the foundations for advanced sessions.  Basic tools required (jeweler's saw, chain nose pliers) but supplies included. 

Two sessions, 2 hours each

$55.00 including supplies

Magus Chain Bracelet with Mary Kernahan

This distinctive and robust weave works well for both men and women alike.  Both the Magus Chain and its variant, the Inverted Box Weave, will be covered.

THE BUILD A CHARM BRACELET SERIES with Kathleen Robinson Young

Every charm bracelet tells a story.  Yours is waiting to be told - join us and begin to tell it by creating a stunning bracelet that is sure to become a treasured heirloom.

Session I:  Completed in July

Session II:  Jump into charm construction & and learn a variety of techniques in the process.  Riveting, stamping, and grommets are just a few of the surface embellishment techniques that will be covered. 

One session, 3 hours

Session III:  Learn to use colors and patinas on your charms to make them truly one of a kind.
